Q1. In what type of landform is your town/village/city located? Which features mentioned in this chapter do you see around you?

Answer:- 

1. I am living in a town where the landform is quite plain.

2. Alluvial soil is found on the very large scale.

3. We can do agriculture work on this land as the soil is very fertile.

4. We can grow many crops on a very large scale.

5. Rice and Wheat are important crops grown in plains.

Q2. Let us go back to our initial trip from Chhota Nagpur to Prayagraj and Almora. Describe the three landforms you came across on the way.

Answer:- 

1. The Chhota Nagpur Plateau is a plateau in eastern India which covers much of Jharkhand state, adjacent parts of Chhattisgarh, Odisha, West Bengal and Bihar.

2. Prayagraj is one of most ancient and sacred town of India based on the river Ganga plains. It is known for confluence of three rivers.

3. Almora lies is in the beautiful Kumaon mountain range.

Q3. List few pilgrimage spots in India along with the landforms in which they are found.

Answer:- There many eminent pilgrimage in India: Rishikesh, Haridwar, Mathura, Dwarka, Varanasi, Tirupati, Amritsar, Amarnath, Rameshwaram, Shirdi, Puri and many more.

1. Haridwar:- It is covered by Mountains, hills, rivers. Holy river Ganga flowing there.

2. Amarnath:- It have a mountainous landform. It is located in the Himalayas. Amaranth is famous for Amaranth Cave Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva.

3. Tirupati:- It is located inthe hills. Tirupati is home to famous Venkateswara Temple, situated in the Tirumala Hills.
